Hi Everyone! I'm back to announce a new contest. As I posted before, Mary and I attended an author signing with Suzanne Young, Nova Ren Suma, Holly Goldberg Sloan and Cindy Pon. We purchased A Need So Beautiful, Imaginary Girls and I'll Be There and asked them to autograph so we could give you an opportunity to win it!
Here's what you have to do:
Comment on this post with your first name, last name, age and e-mail address. THEN, tell us what your favorite book cover was of the year (if there is one or more book cover for book, just describe which one it was, i.e. Delirium has two covers, but only one cover can be chosen), provide the title, author and publisher name. (You can post the title of the book even if it hasn't been released yet, just as long as the publishing year is 2011 OR the projected publishing year is 2011). There is no right or wrong answer, just one book, one entry per person. You can also go in detail about why you like the cover if you like, but it's all up to you.
The winners will be chosen at random and the top three covers will be announced. We will also write reviews on the top three books if we haven't already.
Those of you who started following our blog before August 7, 2011, will get a +2 entry and
new followers will get +1 entry (It is entirely up to you if you'd like to follow our blog).
You can also earn an additional +1 entry if you Tweet "I entered @jenreadsfiction #YASummerGiveaway on jennreadsfiction.blogspot.com" (You can tweet as much as you like, but only +1 point is per person AND you need to provide your twitter url in the comment section of this post)
This giveaway is open to those 13 years and older AND it is INTERNATIONAL :) We just ask the winners to take a picture of themselves with the book so we can post it to our site later. Giveaway closes Friday, September 30th and Winners will be announced October 1st.
First person to enter will win a A Need So Beautiful bookmark autographed by Suzanne Young!
If you have any questions, please feel free to e-mail me jennreadsfiction AT gmail DOT com
Thanks and Good Luck! Happy Reading.

I like this cover because I believe it shows what the story is about.
My favorite book cover was Clockwork Angel by Cassandra Clare. Great story and beautiful shining colors.

ReplyDeleteI would have to say that my favorite cover for 2011 would have to be Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children by Ransom Riggs. I haven't read the book quite yet, but I want to. I just find the cover so unusual and almost gothic looking. It fits the story and title extremely well.

My favorite book cover of the year is either The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer by Michelle Hodkin (Simon & Schuster) or Juliet Immortal by Stacey Jay (Delacorte). Both covers are absolutely gorgeous - the colors, the photography, the mood, just everything about them.

I've been a follower for a while, not sure HOW long, though.
I know this will sound convenient, but Imaginary Girls was seriously my favorite cover so far. I remember in the beginning of the year, when Gayle Forman first tweeted that cover, I just looked at it and instantly thought "FAVORITE BOOK!" Seriously, WITH THE EXCLAMATION MARK! I didn't even know what the book was about, but I loved the concept of it, and the colors and the way it somehow fits to the title. It's really beautiful, in its truer meaning.
So I hope I get to have a copy for myself!
I tweeted about it: http://twitter.com/#!/DayseD/status/116681761668349953

THIS IS NOT AN ENTRY, but I also I wanted to say that even though it's not among this year releases, my favorite cover of ALL TIME is the one for "Moon Over Manifest".
ReplyDeleteJust wanted to put that out there :)
@Dayse. I just saw the cover to Moon Over Manifest, it's simple and poignant. I love how the sky blends with the trees. VERY nice!
ReplyDeleteSkye, 16, handley(dot)skye(at)gmail(dot)com.
ReplyDeleteMy favourite cover of the year is Imaginary Girls by Nova Ren Suma (Dutton). Underwater photography is gorgeous, and the contrast between the blue and red is beautiful. Plus, the image is relevant to the story.

My favorite book cover of the year was probably Wither by Laruen DeStefano which was published by Simon & Schuster. I just loved the forlorn look the girl has and the circles and the little birdcage on the side!
I would have picked this book up anyway, because I like so many other YA Fans am going through a dystopian phase but the cover just made the read extra special!
